MOLAA Pride arrives at the L.A. Art Show.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A whole lot of Pride is arriving at the L.A. Art Show.<\/p>\n

Latin American artists Chiachio & Giannone will debut their Museum of\u00a0Latin American\u00a0Art\u00a0exhibition, “MOLAA Pride,” at the annual art gathering in the City of Angels.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is composed of messages from over 3,500 people \u2014 residents of the Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif., areas \u2014 who were asked to reflect on the meaning of diversity and how it should be celebrated and lived.<\/p>\n

Over the course of three months,\u00a0panels with the written responses were then sewn together by the artists into a 120-foot-long rainbow textile installation that debuted at Long Beach Pride in\u00a02019. It was created under the curatorial direction of\u00a0Gabriela Urtiaga.<\/p>\n

“To present the flag at the\u00a0L.A. Art\u00a0Show\u00a0together with MOLAA is very important for us since more people will see the message and read what the community has written about Diversity,” <\/em>said\u00a0Chiachio & Giannone in a statement.\u00a0“And as\u00a0Latin American\u00a0artists from the LGBTIQ+ community, it is also important to receive this fundamental support from institutions, such as museums, that promote\u00a0these type of project. To live in Diversity, celebrating Diversity.”<\/em><\/p>\n
